To work on a number of identified Packaged Solutions contract wins, grow the business to exceed the targeted revenue levels agreed by the client and Routeco whilst ensuring proper deployment of Routeco and Rockwell resource
To personally own the account and all activity within, from concept to implementation. At the point of completed implementation the account will be managed by the relevant branch sales engineer, whilst responsibility for senior level relationship remains with the Packaged Solution Consultant
To implement a customised business solution, matching the needs of each customer, and utilizing all of Routeco's different services
The ability to define and agree business goals with the potential account at an early stage is a pre-requisite. Along with delivery of agreed goals
To continually improve your ability to position business solutions at the highest level
To coach colleagues and raise their knowledge and awareness within this type of opportunity
To achieve contractual buy in to mutually defined business objectives and deliverables within your target accounts
Co-ordinate resource activity of all aspects both technical and commercial to realise each other's partnership goals
Presentations to decision makers within all aspects of the customer's organisation
Liaising with colleagues (ASM's, Sales Engineers, PSS's ,Supply chain solutions (and Rockwell personnel) to ensure structured approach
Full accountability for profitable business growth within the nominated target accounts
Success Metrics
The success measure would be a turnover of £600k in the first year and in year two, growing to £1.5 million of business (within a number of specified accounts)
Skills and experience needed:
A successful track record within the external sales environment (min 5 years)
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
A thorough knowledge of electrical control and automation products gained within a busy sales environment
A good knowledge of the Routeco and Rockwell business models to allow the deployment of appropriate resource
Excellent customer service and business development skills are essential for this role
Attendance of related product training courses and selling skills courses a distinct advantage
Qualifications / education / specialist training required:
A high level of education
GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths are essential
Formal electrical engineering training would be an advantage
