Our Client is part of the UK's leading business to business distributors of electrical products. Their parent company is the global leader within electrical distribution with an annual turnover in excess of 14 billion.
They have a vacancy for a senior manager to head up their Contracts & Tenders team. The successful applicant will take responsibility for the whole tendering process from inception to completion whilst maximising their commercial opportunities.
Working with the Senior Management Team, the Head of Contracts & Tenders will develop innovative market approaches to win new business, as well as collaborating with their National and Regional Sales Teams with their activities and initiatives.
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate significant experience and success in preparing and winning high value contracts & tenders for the construction and/or electrical wholesaling sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite as is the ability to present key differentiators to potential customers creatively and with flair.
To be successful you will need to have an in depth knowledge of contract & tender processes in a high profile sales environment as well as having significant experience of leading and managing a team. You will be educated to degree level and have advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Excel. You will also have excellent customer service skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
