Our client, is the UK leader in network security and content delivery devices for education and businesses, and due to business growth is looking for a Sales Manager to join its busy, friendly team. Our client has built its reputation on being an approachable no-nonsense, straight-down-the-middle organisation, with a very much can do attitude. We are looking for a hardworking experienced sales professional who will not only fit in - but thrive in this culture.
All sales are undertaken through our client's channel partners, so indirect sales experience would be highly advantageous if not essential. The successful applicant will be filling a senior sales position, and will need to show a proven track record in a similar role. Furthermore, the successful applicant must be equally comfortable dealing with commercial negotiations with senior level decision makers and, just as importantly, convincing key technical influencers that Our client has the appropriate solutions. Consequently the ability to understand and demonstrate our client's technologies is essential.
Our client's key public sector has been Education, experience in this environment would be advantageous, but candidates with other Public Sector experience will be considered. This position will be reporting to the Sales Director.
Responsibilities will include:
* Have the ability to use and demonstrate a range of networking products.
* Manage, develop and forecast the business from key channel partner accounts.
* Develop and manage a regional account portfolio.
* Prepare and deliver pricing proposals, working with our partners on formal RFQs.
* Understand and analyse customer needs and develop business propositions and plans.
* Work with the marketing team to develop new business opportunities and support existing business.
* Coordination of the full sales process.
Applicants must be educated to a suitable level or have professional qualifications with high competency of English language skills - both written and spoken. Applicants MUST have the necessary legal rights to work in the UK. Traveling will be necessary within the UK and possibly on some occasions into other European countries. The successful applicant must have a valid UK driving license.
