Job Description

This well known not for profit organisation operating within the FMCG industry is currently seeking a Head of Sales to manage relationships with key suppliers and out of home customers.

As Head of Sales you will be responsible for the leadership of a team of Account Managers that manage relationships with key suppliers, foodservice and contract catering customers.

Key areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Develop and deliver the strategic plan for the brand and out of home accounts team, ensuring it fits with the strategic development of the business.
  • Manage and develop trading relationships with exisiting and potential out of home customers primarly focused within food and drinks - to maximise volume growth opportunities.
  • Lead, inspire and coach the account team in order to deliver set objectives and goals.
  • Develop Joint Business Plans (JBP's) in order to work collaboratively with key customers and gain a depth of commitment from your retail customers.
  • Contribute to the overall commercial strategic plan.
  • Influence and champion cohesive commercial strategies and plans to drive category growth.

In order to be successful in your application you must have the following experience:

  • Previous foodservice account management skills.
  • Previous branded FMCG experience.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and set strategic targets.
  • Excellent leadership skills gained in highly complex and high pressured environments.
  • High level negotiation and trading experience.
