Business Development Manager - Commercial Catering Equipment

  • £27,000 - £29,000 + Company Care

The Role: As Business Development Manager, you will tasked with growing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as introducing the brand to new business prospects. A proportion of your time will be spent dealing with the public sector as well as driving sales through specialist distributors. You will be expected to support your distributors by joining their sales teams out in the field, offering assistance when dealing with end user buyers as well as training and developing them when new products are launched. Your business with the public sector will focus mainly on local authorities, schools, hospitals and the prison service. The territory you will cover includes all of Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Yorkshire as well as Cumbria and you will be expected to stay away on business for two nights each month. You will be given a set of realistic KPI's and you will be rewarded generously for your results with an uncapped commission structure paid on a monthly basis.

The Person: Experience within the catering equipment sector is NOT essential. The successful candidate will have a sales background in the food industry of some description and must be experienced in managing a territory. Candidates who have experience of dealing with distributors, end users or the public sector will well positioned to gain an interview and individuals with a professional cookery background are also of interest. You must be outgoing, passionate about catering and money motivated.
