The UK's leading manufacturer of luxury bathroom and kitchen brassware and architectural hardware as well as window furniture and door handles is seeking a Business Development Manager to target both the retail and specification markets and grow their share in emerging markets in Asia and Eastern Europe.
We are flexible on the location of the candidate although good access to Birmingham would be an advantage.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidates main accountabilities & responsibilities include:
- developing well-established accounts, gaining showroom display coverage and growing sales through specifiers
- researching own leads and converting into new, profitable customers
Key skills and experience must include:
- Experience of selling high end consumer durables via retailers and specifiers
flexibility to spend the majority of time overseas including weekends
- proven sales experience and excellent reputation for customer relations
- ability to plan on the road - being customer-facing is paramount
- experience of training and presentations to individuals and groups
- proficient in IT skills for presentations, reporting, communications and database management
