Job Description

Managing Director, Retail Store Fixings. £100,000+ Basic Salary + profit related Bonuses + extensive benefits package. Specialist division of a major global manufacturing group require a sales and marketing led director level professional from within the retail services or retail infrastructure sector. With a reputation for innovation and creating "what the customer actually wants, no matter what" the company are the market leader in their field and boast many of the UK's major retailers as key accounts. This Managing Director role has broad responsibility, covering P&L, processes and people and is open due to a recent group restructure and an internal group promotion. The role would suit someone who already has MD experience or who is currently a Sales Director with significant commercial experience looking for their first role as MD.

To apply for this Managing Director role you must meet the following criteria:

* Director level experience within retail services or retail infrastructure with a strong network of relationships and experience of working at the most senior levels.
* You will have responsibility for the strategic direction and the day to day management of the business and as such you will be a proven 'hands on' people manager with strong experience in managing and driving multidisciplinary teams.
* The company has a base of bright, talented individuals and critical to this role will be the ability to further develop that talent in terms of its leadership capability. Therefore you must be able to demonstrate at interview your ability and experience in creating, leading and mentoring diverse teams and driving them to their next level and continued success
* You will be experienced in 'managing managers' to deliver a variety of sales targets and key performance indicators to ensure all business growth targets are met.
* You will be an active figure in promoting the organisation and as such, your ability to network and to seek and develop new opportunities for the business, exploiting its potential, will be seen as critical in making this appointment.
* You will be a dynamic and forward thinking entrepreneurial leader that possesses a thirst for learning and continuous personal development.
* You will have a strong strategic approach to developing business and possess the credibility and gravitas to quickly gain the respect of an already successful team.
* You will be a strong negotiator with impeccable communication skills that is able to direct success in a clear, accurate and concise manner
* You will have a positive and proactive 'can do' attitude that passionately ensures that their strategy becomes a success. You will recover quickly from setbacks and have the courage to stand up for your own beliefs and for the interests of the business.
* You will be a genuine team player and team leader that listens to their people and encourages an
open environment where people feel confident and comfortable in airing their views and ideas for progression.
* You will have advanced IT skills and have above average operational knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

In return you will earn a £100K plus basic salary package (negotiable upwards based upon specific experience and achievements). Overall package includes profit bonus, sales and performance achievement bonuses, car and additional benefits that are usually associated with a position at this level.
