NATIONAL SALES MANAGERrequired for my client who is a respected supplier of CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT AND ENGINEERED STEEL.
My client has developed their business to become a respected and recognised manufacturer of quality concrete reinforcement and engineered steel products for the construction marketplace. They provide their clients with high quality structural steel components to the UKs leading contractors and distributors. Their portfolio includes rebar, mesh and associated engineered steel construction products.
They have a wide product range to meet their clients needs including Contractors, Specifiers, Ground-Workers, Merchants and Distributors.
My client has rapidly grown due their excellent reputation, service, customer service and an aggressive growth strategy. They also invest in their home grown employees with excellent development of valued employees. Due to their consistent success the opportunity has arisen for a NATIONAL SALES MANAGER with a preference for experience in the Concrete Reinforcement and Engineered Steel industry or an associated construction/specification biased environment to join their ever-expanding team.
The Opportunity
As NATIONAL SALES MANAGER you will be responsible for improving profitable turnover in accordance with company policies by developing and increasing customer base and exploiting new markets, whilst developing national key accounts to ensure the company continues to increase their market share.
To maintain and improve existing business by ensuring good customer relations, resolving any issues promptly and ensuring customers have a good commercial experience when working on projects.
To obtain new customers and sales leads by conducting research into new markets and visiting potential customers as appropriate, whilst being aware of competitors activities to ensure continued growth and customer retention.
Offering solution based quotations based upon company pricing structure/policy and negotiate with customers, ensuring appropriate margins are achieved whilst effectively meeting the clients requirements.
To maintain customer records and administration on a daily basis.
To liaise with production and concerning viability of products, lead times, delivery details and providing accurate client feedback.
You will be directly responsible for selling and promoting products at all levels via Architects, Specifiers, Contractors, Merchants and Distributors.
Promoting my clients portfolio of Rebar, Mesh and associated concrete reinforcement/engineered steel products including.

The Credentials
You will ideally possess a construction biased background with relevant qualifications or a proven track record of hands on experience in building and construction products or Concrete Reinforcement and Engineered Steel.
A proven track record of dealing with Merchants, Architects, Specifiers, Contractors and Developers at a senior level or via specification within a construction biased environment on a national basis.
Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills, with excellent organisational skills.
