Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a new team at CIPFA as a Business Development Manager driving business in the Public Sector based in the South East.

One of the leading accountancy bodies in the UK, CIPFA has forged its reputation and influence by specialising in public services and is at the heart of public sector transformation. With annual revenues approaching £30m, their commercial activities are well established and provide a range of highly valued services designed to convert public sector aspirations and policy to reality and results. To support their ambitious growth plans, CIPFA are expanding their Business Development Team and are looking to fill various roles to build a position of involvement and influence across the public sector.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

EXPERIENCE 

  • Extensive experience of devising/implementing business development strategies
  • Significant experience of large-scale commercial lead generation
  • Experience of producing sales proposals and tender documents
  • Experience of providing innovative solutions to organisational business issues
  • Proven high volume lead generation skills for B2B and public sector
  • Proven experience of presenting at a senior level
  • Excellent persuasive, influencing and negotiation skills in a sales situation
  • Commercial lead generating techniques including sales promotion
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with current and prospective clients
