Position Description:
SunGardâs Asset Management segment provides business-critical investment and operational support to asset management businesses in 30 countries, spanning the world of traditional and alternative investment. Based in the United Kingdom (London) covering the English speaking area or based in France (Paris) and covering European locations.

You will provide direct support to a sales executive responsible for increasing new sales revenues for the SunGard Asset Arena solution specifically targeted at front and middle office. In addition you will have a good understanding of current Risk and Compliance requirements in the Asset Management sector.

The Pre Sales role requires excellent business, operational, market and technical knowledge to support the sales cycle.

⢠Understanding customers business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs.
⢠Identifying opportunities for further development within the product set through detailed research of the specific industry/market.
⢠Working with the sales executive to prepare and deliver customer presentations by understanding a prospectâs requirement and transferring that requirement into a product based demonstration.
⢠Preparing workshops for detailed demonstration of our software with customer data and conducting those demonstrations to prospects and existing customers
⢠Assist in the marketing and promoting the product set. To include writing and designing sales literature and attending industry events.
⢠Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of new versions of the software and changes in hardware requirements.
⢠Providing âbest practiceâ advice to prospects on all aspects of the installation; advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of scenarios.
⢠Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature.
⢠Maintaining awareness of market developments, intelligence, and competitor activity within the territory.
⢠Fulfill RFI/ RFP duties and work with the sales team in delivering responses to both technical and product related questions.

Position Requirements:
⢠Extensive proven experience working within an Asset Management company.
⢠An excellent understanding of Asset Management operations and the technologies surrounding these processes.
⢠As the business has a significant element of accounting functionality, an understanding of accounting specific to Asset Management would be a significant advantage. Other key areas of functionality relate to risk management & compliance; knowledge of these areas would also be beneficial.
⢠Self-motivated.
⢠Team and client oriented.
⢠Fluent in English.
⢠Fluent in French (for Paris role)
⢠Good knowledge of another European language a significant asset.
⢠Flexible in terms of travelling. .
