National Sales Manager Travel Sector - Media

New and exciting opportunity to work for a renowned FTSE 100 Blue Chip financial services brand!

We are looking for strong strategic sales people with expertise in the travel industry and a background in digital sales and marketing promotions / UK offers / customer loyalty sector / media / advertising.

The role will require the creation and delivery of a pipeline of merchants and customer promotions from the travel sector. You should be able to utilise your market expertise and knowledge to build long term strategic relationships with blue chip clients both direct and through media agencies in order to develop marketing promotions campaigns.

Through the launch of our clients 2012 offers proposition, they expect to become the top destination for merchant advertising and be the leading provider of great value deals.

Key responsibilities for National Sales Manager

  • Creating new relationships with prospects
  • Develop extensive contact network
  • Engages key stakeholders across the Company and their networks with emphasis on lead generation
  • Meeting and exceeding agreed targets for merchant signing and offer mix
  • Work with Account Development Team, ensuring merchant knowledge transferred appropriately
  • Work with merchants to design annual campaign/offer plan, set dates, and meet all requirements of that plan.

Essential skills for National Sales Manager

Previous success in a targeted sales role with a proven track record of exceeding targets

  • Excellent customer relationship skills with the gravitas and communication skills to influence at a senior level
  • Strong commercial and marketing acumen, strategic awareness and the ability to work independently and with a cross functional team
  • Good working knowledge of the UK travel sector ie. Airlines, holiday providers, car rentals etc
  • Strong evidence of building and developing a professional network

Desirable skills for National Sales Manager

  • Background in digital sales / marketing and promotions
  • Strong understanding of the industry promotional programme and the competency to adapt and tailor when required
  • Diplomacy and political skills to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Resilient and robust personality able to thrive in an environment of clear accountability with ongoing challenges
