Job Purpose:
To provide inspirational leadership to branch teams through relentless focus on service, sales management, coaching and development
Achieving great sales results through a clear and widely understood business plan
Leading and motivating a team of Area Managers and Flagship Managers
Driving and sustaining a culture in which branch teams spend more time with customers to create meaningful customer relationships

Key Accountabilities
Achieving Revenue Growth
Coach teams to maximise every sales opportunity, identifying problems and solving them
Develop the skills and abilities of everyone in the branch in order to drive sales performance and achieve targets
Manage through Area and Flagship Manager teams to maximise product & customer profitability
Achieve the regions sales and retention targets
Delivering excellent customer experience
Manage standards for customer service through leading by example
Takes every opportunity to promote Santander to members of the public
Constantly focus on understanding and improving customer experience
Be Intolerant of poor customer experience
Ensure branch staff maximise time spent with customers in order to create meaningful relationships
Managing costs effectively and within budget
Establish & embed a culture of cost consciousness across the team
Optimise the use of customer sales resources to deliver significant cost: income improvements
Managing and controlling risks
Manage the balance between sales and cost performance with regulatory compliance.
Take responsibility for ensuring all risk and control measures are understood and resourced appropriately to meet agreed standards.
Manage operational risk & compliance across the division
Leading, managing and motivating a team
Develop a team of highly skilled, knowledgeable & motivated business managers capable of delivering to a high standard
Ensure that a robust and up to date succession plan exists for every role type within the Region

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
Awareness and understanding of the Financial Services Market place

Assertive and results-orientated team player with a positive attitude and clear opinions
Strong communication and negotiation skillsinfluences through using a range of styles deployed in a commercial way
Demonstrable evidence of personal drive and commitment
Proven managerial and leadership experience in a constantly changing and challenging business environment
Track record of outstanding achievement and success
Significant experience in retail banking or financial sales roles, including experience of remote management in field-based roles
Evidence of building and preserving partnerships at all levels
