My client is classed as one of the "Big Four" banks and has millions of customers across a variety of different financial services. They are now looking for an Associate Director of Business Development.
The role will be Operating in the external mid-market arena working with the Yorkshire and North East External team. It is new business focused and will target a variety of sources including Professional Advisors and Intermediaries, LBG Commercial Business Development and Large Corporate Managers and also from direct channels such as the internet. The successful candidate will then be responsible for developing strong relationships with them. Targets will relate to both income and deal numbers, ensuring that the income stream is sustainable and that all relevant lending risks have been identified and mitigated.
The ideal candidate will have experience of completing Asset Based Lending transactions and have an ability to complete complex credit submissions. They will possess the sales and communication skills to win and close ABL type transactions and has exceeded set targets in recent years. It would be beneficial if they also had a network of intermediaries in and around the Leeds area. There will be some travel with this role and a requirement to work outside of normal hours as and when the need arises.
