Sales Manager (Automotive Services UK)

Our client is the worlds leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company and are recognised as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. With more than 50,000 employees, they operate a network of over 1000 offices and laboratories around the world. They inspect and verify the quantity, weight and quality of traded goods. Our client also test product quality and performance against various health, safety and regulatory standards.
They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager to set up and manage an effective sales team and take responsibility for achieving sales revenue and agreed financial targets for automotive services in the UK.
You will be required to secure and attend client meetings with relevant technical staff and managers to build customer relationships and secure new business and must ensure the timely submission of all customer-requested commercial data, particularly quotations and tenders, presenting the most efficient business processes to internal managers and customers. You will be expected to travel both within UK and overseas to meet with both clients and their colleagues as required to ensure business growth, preparing and delivering effective sales and business presentations that reflect the standard and professionalism of them.
They are looking for a charismatic, self starter who is able to confidently present business concepts to a variety of audiences. You should have a good working knowledge of the automotive sector and future market trends and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all parties including, senior managers, colleagues and customers. You must be able to maintain good working relationships despite working in a demanding, target driven environment, with a proven ability to identify and capitalise on business development opportunities to generate new business. You must be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a sales or business discipline.
