Group Business Partner
ŁOTE - Competitive
Swanley, Kent
About us
From humble roots, NFU Mutual has grown to become one of the UK's largest general insurance
and financial services organisations. Our ethos - of trust, respect and personal service - lies
at the heart of everything we do, and has seen us build an enviable reputation for exceptional
member loyalty. We're proud to say that last year, 93% of our customers renewed with us, often
through their local agency office. At the heart of local communities, our agencies enable us to
provide face-to-face service, and build deep and meaningful relationships with our members.
We're proud to be part of the fabric of rural life and we enjoy strong links with the National
Farmers' Union (NFU). The NFU is the largest farming organisation in the UK, providing a strong
and respected voice for the industry.
About the role
We've a rich history and a really exciting future ahead of us. But how do our agency offices grow?
They need a sustainable customer base, solid foundations, plenty of support and, of course, an
inspiring, hardworking leader to run and manage them. And that's you. With the support of NFU
Mutual behind you, you'll head up our Swanley agency office, serving the financial needs of local
members.
Essentially, you'll develop and manage your own insurance sales business, advising and selling
a wide range of insurance and financial products. From car, home and contents to commercial
products for the business sector and risk management services, you'll have a diverse portfolio to
recommend from. And as we're the rural specialists, you can be confident you'll find the perfect
product fit for the community you'll quickly become a part of. Last but certainly not least, you'll
lead your team by inspiring example, ensuring that targets are met, service is exceptional and
FSA compliance is complete.
You'll also take on the role of NFU Group Secretary, championing British farming in your region.
You'll spend time working with peers in the NFU, as well as advising members of the farming
community.
About you
The first thing to say is that you're ambitious. Commercially-minded, with a strong entrepreneurial
streak, you're keen to get on, build up a business and enjoy the financial rewards. For NFU
Mutual, and for you, success comes through building lasting, profitable working relationships.
You'll have the natural ability to strike up a strong rapport with members, understanding their
financial needs and doing everything you can to meet them. It's essential that you have a
proven track record of sales and, just as importantly, an unwavering commitment to delivering
exceptional customer service. Equally, you'll be a great manager and leader. Someone who's
able to inspire colleagues and get the best out of a talented, committed team.
Because you'll be acting as the region's NFU Group Secretary, you have a good awareness of
- and interest in - rural affairs. You'll have your finger on the rural pulse, so you'll know what
matters to people living and working in the countryside.
The rewards
Of course, we'll provide you with all the practical and logistical support you need to do great
things in your agency. But the financial and professional success of your office is completely in
your hands - and that's challenging and rewarding in equal measure. As a commissioned NFU
Mutual Agent, you'll be self-employed, which means that you're in charge of your own earnings,
and the potential to earn is uncapped.
As you'll be working on a self-employed basis, you won't be directly employed by NFU Mutual.
