Job Title: Sales Operations Director
Reports to: Managing Director - RTE
Based at: Richmond, Surrey, UK

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Sales Operations Director. You will work as part of the management team to lead the change in management process, strategically and operationally, as we embrace new processes and systems. Initially this is primarily a process management and re-engineering role to lead and drive the change to align our business needs, improve sales process and manage change. Longer term the role will be the driver of first class sales performance and process through Reed Exhibitions UK (RXUK).
Key Responsibilities:
§ Effectively lead the implementation of the sales effectiveness strategy which requires forming and implementing strategies at a people, process and system level
§ Support the UK Board with change management strategies to ensure demonstrable improvement in sales effectiveness
§ Complete a time and motion study
§ Re-engineer and map the sales and support processes for RXUK
§ Identify and specify all reporting requirements to enable comprehensive sales management
§ To drive and support the implementation and roll out of (web address removed)
o Lead on process analysis and design ensuring they are aligned to business needs and are optimising all resources efficiently
o Support the exhibition teams through the roll out of (web address removed) , co-ordinating the training and communication
§ Create motivational bonus schemes that drive improved sales performance and work with the show teams to agree show specific sales bonus plans
§ Set minimum sales standards for each sales job level and means of measuring such standards
§ Work with your team to provide on going coaching to all sales people to maximise sales productivity and efficiency
§ Work with the Sales Development Director to provide clear and informative metrics
§ Ideal candidate profile:
§ A highly driven and enthusiastic sales professional
§ Ideally sales experience in the media industry
§ Demonstrable experience in formulating strategies and supporting and driving change to improve performance
§ Proven experience in the identification and implementation of effective sales systems
§ Experience in sales process engineering and the successful implementation of new processes
§ Ability to understand the complexities of introducing and implementing sales management reports
§ Able to clearly communicate at all levels and influence key stakeholders
§ Strong decision maker
§ Educated to degree level or equivalent
