We produce market-leading international magazines, and are looking for a successful and experienced B2B advertising sales executive to join our friendly office-based, outbound telephone sales team. Our titles are extremely well received in their respective markets, and we get regular positive feedback regarding their high quality.
We need you to quickly establish your B2B sales skills and prove your ability to work in an environment that expects targets to be hit. Career progression is likely, with the realistic possibility of the candidate leading a team of their own in the near future.
You will be based in our offices in Bromley, situated very close to Bromley South train station - well serviced by a short 20-minute train journey from Victoria.
The role is to sell advertising - display, classified and online. We're looking for candidates that are self-sufficient when it comes to developing new business and researching new sales opportunities. You must also have the ability to identify and convert sales angles within existing accounts.
Experience in advertising sales is an obvious bonus, however, if you have a strong pedigree of director-level B2B selling, we will be open minded if you can provide evidence that you are comfortable conversing with clients at this level.
Ideally we are looking for at least 2 years high-level B2B outbound telephone selling to director level clients. The successful applicant will have a proven track record, must demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills and strong business acumen, as well as show a proactive and enthusiastic approach to their work.
The position carries a starting basic salary of between £16,000-22,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission paid on a regular basis throughout the year. On target earnings for a successful salesperson should be way in excess of £35,000 per year, with realistically achievable targets. With experience there may be an opportunity for international travel to represent our company at tradeshows and on sales trips.
