Job Description

Sales Executive Telecoms Converged Solutions

Purpose of Job:

To identify new clients and close new business for telephony and converged voice and data solutions to SMEs and larger organisations across multiple sectors.

You will operate as part of a team, and you will identify and expand opportunities, and develop accounts with new and existing customers.

You will enhance and expand the Companys capabilities in the telephony sector by seeking out opportunities for new products and services.

You will be responsible for generating your own leads, responding to leads provided, visiting potential clients, identifying appropriate solutions, writing costed proposals and closing the sale.

Dimensions:

Targets: You will be targeted on a personal sales target, based on contribution.

  • Successful sales results are paramount
  • Ability to identify business drivers for prospective customers and respond with appropriate solutions
  • Developing your own leads and responding to leads provided to you.
  • Adding new quality customers and developing those along with existing accounts
  • Developing relationships with suppliers and partners
  • A broad and satisfied customer base
  • Identify cross selling opportunities.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • A minimum of two years sales experience in the Telecoms sector most likely working for a telephony provider or VAR
  • A proven track record of personal sales achievement (demonstrable two years over target sales)
  • Detailed knowledge of the business telecommunications market
  • The ability to design telephony, VOIP, VPN and converged solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Technical knowledge of systems architectures, design and functionality as well as emerging technology

Desirable

  • Sales Certifications in appropriate technology fields (Mitel, CISCO, Avaya, Inter-Tel)
  • Formal sales training an advantage
  • Experience in voice recording, system integration, networking and security would be beneficial

Skills and Experience

  • You will be a skilled sales person operating within the Telecoms sector
  • You will be able to generate new sales, gain confidence understand the opportunities, propose solutions and close business
  • You will possess strong account management and negotiation skills
  • You will possess good written and oral communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas and information clearly and succinctly
  • Competent in the use of IT systems and packages in order to effectively use customer and prospect contact tools and systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Working Conditions

Your office base will be in Bury St Edmunds, although you will be expected to spend the majority of your time out of the office visiting clients and prospects.

Salary and benefits package - Package of £35k - £50k, (OTE of £70k - 90k) plus car or car allowance, plus commission, plus our standard Company Benefits.
