Product Marketing Manager, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems - Derbyshire (phone number removed) Job Ref: 3342

The Company
· Our client is the world's leading supplier of medical gas equipment, with more than 40 years experience in the design, manufacture, supply, installation and servicing of medical gas systems.

· They manufacture all elements of a Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) for both new and refurbished hospitals, from the plant and manifolds to the valves and outlets.
The Role
· As a member of the Marketing Team and reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Product Manager develops, launches, controls, and enhances the sales and margins of the products under their responsibility.
· The Product Manager is a consultant to every team involved in the evolution of new ideas providing market research, competitive analysis and generating a formal specification.
· You will have a unique perspective and bring your own new ideas for product improvement and new products, services and programs.
· A leading member of the project team with particular responsibility for specification, market research, P&L estimation, pricing, periodic management review and product launch.
· Research, write and execute the launch plan and coordinate all matters relating to product appearance, product name and branding.
· Train personnel on products in your portfolio and act as a resource on those products for other personnel.
· Actively work with the Sales Managers and sales people to ensure they are comfortable with the products and programs and are able to promote them with confidence.
· Actively seek opportunities to redevelop products to reduce cost or enhance market acceptance.
· Fully manager the product life cycle.
· Participate in customer visits, to provide support as appropriate.
The Candidate
· Experience in a marketing role involving direct management of products.
· Preferred industries would be any engineered product or construction related industry.
· Candidates must understand pricing, product positioning, role of brand, sales cycles and role of post sale support.
· Experience with supporting a selling organisation is a must and a pre-requisite to the success of the role.
· Educated to degree level in a marketing or engineering discipline.
· The position, although based in Derbyshire, will involve up to quarter of the time out of the office, including some international travel.
