Hudson’s client is a leading manufacturer in the UK. Our client operate in fast paced markets where customer demands, legislation and whole host of other key influences are continuously changing. They are focussed on looking for new ways to add value, to improve performance and to reduce costs so as to grow their position in the market.

Our client is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join their sales team to maximise new  business opportunities, nurture and grow key accounts. Industry specific experience is not necessary, as our client is looking for someone who can display the key competencies they are looking for and has been proficient in demonstrating these within other markets.

The role of Sales Manager will have responsibility for existing business, catering to manufacturing consumables for industry to heavy duty packaging.

The main objectives of the role are to;

  • To be the manager for allocated key customers, ensuring the offer to these major accounts is "best in class" and generates incremental and profitable sales.

  • Identify new opportunities, win and develop major blue chip accounts.

  • Develop effective working relationships with senior decision makers within target accounts and negotiate high level contractual agreements.

  • Demonstrate the technical capabilities of products by performing trials and delivering value engineering presentations to existing and potential new major customers.

The candidate we are looking for must have the sales, commercial, communication, technical and organisational skills to win the confidence and respect of customers and colleagues alike.

Knowledge and experience of selling high quality technical solutions would be preferred. This role would be ideal for a Business Development Manager wanting to develop their career and demonstrate that they can make a significant difference to the performance of the business.

Candidates must possess the drive and ambition to develop this role further and success is likely to offer further career development opportunities.
