Technical Sales Manager – Commercial Heating Systems      

Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – Commercial Heating Systems    

Industry Sector: Commercial Heating Systems, Commercial Boilers, Water Heaters, Plumbing and Heating, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Local Authorities, Plumbing and Heating, Installers

Area to be covered: Scotland                                                      Ideally based: Central Belt   

Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 (Dep. on Experience) + commissions (1.5% of turnover)

The role of the Technical Sales Manager – Commercial Heating Systems will involve:

·         Selling a wide range of high quality manufactured water heating systems such as: boilers, heat pumps, hot water cylinders, heat and power systems

·         75% of your time will be spent selling to end users such as M&E consultants, local authorities and specialist engineers

·         25% of your time will be spent selling directly to M+E contractors and installers

·         Taking over a strong territory currently achieving around £1m turnover per annum with a target to hit the same again

·         Dealing with typical order values of between £20k-£80k

·         Taking over approximately 200 accounts

·         Approximately 50% of your sales time will be spent managing and expanding existing relationships

·         Remaining 50% of your sales time will be spent generating new business relationships

·         Typically working on commercial projects such as: Schools, Hospitals and Colleges

·         Covering a territory which will incorporate a territory incorporating the whole of Scotland with focus on the central belt

The ideal applicant will be Technical Sales Manager – Commercial Heating Systems with:

·         Must have a demonstrable track record in field based sales with heating or ventilation products such as: boilers, water heaters, hot water cylinders, pipework, plumbing systems, radiators, heating panels or related products

·         Must have experience selling via the specification channels through M&E consultants, specialist engineers and local authorities

·         Technical capable

·         Experience in securing commercial projects advantageous but not essential

·         Able to manage and organise diary across a large volume of accounts

·         Demonstrate excellent drive, determination, energy and ambition to succeed
