Elevation Sales are currently looking to speak to experienced Sales Managers from the Construction and Building Supplies industry for a Technical Sales Manager role that has recently become available with one of our key clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global business who are extremely well reputed in the manufacture of building products. They sell direct to end user, through merchant sales, specifying consultants and Main Contractors and therefore require someone with this specific background.

Due to recent changes in the operating model within the business, they are now looking to appoint a number of technical sales professionals from the industry who possess the drive, enthusiasm and proven sales success to work with the existing team to drive sales growth.

The purpose of the role is to secure converted orders by means of specifications and lead conversion of the products by managing end user and sub contract relationships.

This role has the flexibility to cover one of a number of territories including Kirkaldy to Lancaster, Norwich to Ipswich and Watford to Slough. The ideal candidate will be based fairly centrally to one of these territories in order to make travel responsibilities more manageable.

Your responsibilities as part of this role will include;

*Achieving monthly and quarterly objectives and targets
*Engaging with specifiers to secure confirmation of the business' products on commercial and residential opportunities
*Managing and developing end user and key contract merchant relationships
*Actively participate in business planning in order to grow and develop sales
*Ensure that all customer requests are followed up
*Delivering product training to all relevant parties including specifiers and architects
*Contributing to the launch of new product ranges.

This is an integral role for the business which will play a key part in the ongoing sales strategy and growth of the business, therefore it is essential that someone with the right skill set and contacts in the industry is identified and given the necessary support to succeed. To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria;

*Ideally degree qualified in relevant business discipline (this is not essential but highly desirable)
*Technical sales experience would be highly beneficial
*Demonstrable success in a sales role within the building products and construction industry is essential
*Experience of selling to the merchant sector, main contractors and specifiers is essential
*Experience of managing a project pipeline with specification sales
*Must be able to demonstrate and entrepreneurial approach in new business development.
