JOB SPECIFICATION - Technical Sales Manager
This is a home based field sales / Technical Account Manager vacancy, primarily covering the South of England. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be selling manufactured solutions / industrial components to a wide variety of industries including: Automotive / Oil & Gas / Medical & Pharmaceutical / Aerospace & Defence / General Industrial customers.
The primary aim of this role will be identifying projects and connecting with customers at an early stage of planning to develop a specific set of technical solutions for those projects and ensure a long term business partnership.
Business is split roughly 30% – 70% between new and existing business. Business development will often come from maintaining and building on long standing relationships with an existing client base.
There is a genuine opportunity for the right candidate to move into a managerial position within the medium term.
REQUIREMENTS - Technical Sales Manager
You MUST have a proven track record of sales success of a technical product or service with a strongly consultative sell. Ideally this will be the sale of an industrial component.
You MUST be an autonomous sales professional who can manage customers at all levels, and develop your own business pipeline. Above all a genuine passion in going that extra mile to achieve customer satisfaction, combined with tenacity and a can-do attitude will ensure success within the role.
You will most probably have an ONC / HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering.
