Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer for our client who are a specialist manufacturer in the heavy engineering sector. They supply to a variety of industries and require an experienced and ambitious Technical Sales Engineer to take over one of their key divisions of the business.
This is a stand-alone role for one section of the business and will report directly into the Board of Directors. You will be responsible for all Business Development and Account Management within this division of the business which will require UK-wide travel after a period of training.
Initially this role will be office-based, in order to develop your skills and knowledge around the products and manufacturing capabilities, however you will be given the opportunity to attend sales meetings with the current Technical Sales Engineer during a handover period.
There is lots of scope for this role to utilise other skills such as basic marketing, social media exposure and analysis. The business are keen to support the right person in their career development in any of these areas.
This role requires someone with an Engineering background who has ideally dealt with pressure vessels, pipework or valves in previous roles, however this is not essential. You will be required to build long-standing relationships with large organisations to ensure repeat business, work with technical teams within the business to provide accurate quoting and support throughout the life cycle of a project.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
*Engineering background, with a strong technical understanding
*Experience with Pressure vessels, pumps, pipework is desirable but not essential
*Experience of working in a stand-alone sales role, taking full responsibility for the performance of sales for a particular product
*Proven success in business development for an Engineering business
