Purpose of Job

Due to organic growth Falko are adding to their Spares Trading team. The role of Spare Sales Manager will support the existing team to work with key customers to expand existing sales aswell as identify new potential customers

Principle Accountability

Reporting to the Director – Spares Sales, you will work under minimum supervision whilst at all times adhering to company and department policies, procedures and guidelines.

The Responsibilities will include:

  • Maximising sales revenue from current parts stock by providing a first class spares service, dealing promptly and efficiently with all customer enquiries, submitting quotes in accordance with pricing policies, processing Purchase Orders received, issuing pick/pack/despatch/return instructions and invoicing accordingly, whilst keeping the customer informed at all times.
  • Managing the advertising of available stock through internet-based inventory locator systems (i.e. ILS, Parts base etc.), our own company website and through e-mailshots, participation in trade events and through another advertising media.
  • Developing strong customer relationships and understanding of customer needs and potential business opportunities.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and increased sales opportunities and measure consequential savings.
  • Assist the Director, Spares Sales with sales forecast/ targets to improve performance.
  • Provide back-up on supporting aircraft delivery programmes and other projects as required.
  • Occasional out of hours working to support customer requirements.

Skills Required:

  • To be a team player, able to communicate effectively with customers and at all levels of the business in order to develop effective partnerships and joint working both internally and externally.
  • To possess strong negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Previous experience in aircraft spares sales
  • Awareness of component condition, certification and airworthiness regulations associated with aircraft spares.
  • To be able to effectively manage workloads against many conflicting internal priorities and customer requirements.
  • Hold or willing to work to achieve a relevant professional membership e.g. MCIPS or Associate Member and working towards Corporate Membership.
  • To be highly IT literate, with specific working knowledge of a variety of Accounting and Inventory Management systems (Focal Point, OASES, etc.).
