Solutions Architect – £25K - Greater London

Wherever possible our client automates the process to remove paper documents & subsequent costs. They create efficient workflows and lower expenditure in the shortest possible time by combining ITIL® and PRINCE2® methodologies

The aim is to convert data into business value and create intelligence with efficient workflow. They remove errors and variation, delivering increased efficiencies and measurable/repeatable output.

This is a grad job offering £25K per annum plus a company car.

Key responsibilities of the role;

The role will carry varied responsibilities, from site visits to analyse problems and design and recommend solutions, to providing technical competences across both the internal and external relationships. You will spend 75% of your time out of the office, meeting existing clients. With several office locations you could visit your office in London or Milton Keynes.

The role offers the right individual the opportunity to quickly progress either through the technical or solution sales functions.

Day-to-day activities will include;

* Provide software/solution estimates that accurately reflect the size and resources required to design and deploy specified solutions.

* Undertake requirement capture activities to create technical scopes that accurately reflect the need of end users.

* Undertake requirements analysis to provide initial software requirements that provide sufficient detail to allow ongoing development.

* Undertake design activities to develop sustainable software designs that can be communicated to other team members.

* Implement software designs, taking into consideration Company and industry best practices. Design and implement comprehensive tests, taking into consideration Company and industry best practises.

* Design and implement Customer Acceptance tests, taking into consideration Customer imposed, Company and Industry standards.

* Perform installation on Customer sites taking into account Customer site constraints where applicable.

* Provide documentation to an appropriate level for the intended audience, taking into account that the audience may vary from internal staff members to senior customer figures.

* Ensure that all work adheres to company standards.

* Assist the broader team in enhancing process and procedures to further process improvement in line with industry best practise.

* Act as a role model for the team, providing technical guidance and the benefit of experience in assisting them to gain their objectives.

* Provide second and third line product support where required.

* Build relationships with all other areas of the business to assist the communication of concepts, ideas and technical information.

* Maintain an accurate record of solution development progress

* Integration of core technologies to third party applications.

* Provide periodic, accurate progress reports to management

* Provide pre-sales support to the Business Development Teams.

* Provide End User training to personnel both internal and external to the company.

* Present a professional and focussed interface to ensure clarity of communication in support of business objectives

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications;

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent is required

* Programming/scripting knowledge in Windows (VB, .NET, COM, XML)

* Good understanding of networks and network security models

* Apply analytical thinking to complex projects

* Ability to work independently and meet fixed deadlines

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English

* Willingness and ability to travel offsite to partners or customers

* Creative and innovative thinker

* Driver’s license

* Team spirit and personality to engage directly with our partners and our end-customers

* Dedicated personality and a confident and professional appearance

Full training will be provided as required and you don’t need to know all of the following but a basic knowledge of at least a couple would be beneficial. Key technologies to be mastered include PlanetPress Connect, IRIS Xtract and associated applications, EDMS platforms including Therefore and mStore.

The candidate should have knowledge in a number of the following; Languages: VB, .NET,C++,SQL Language Database experience SQLServer Technologies, tools: XML, SOAP, RESTful services HTML/CSS, javascript(AJAX) OS knowledge: Windows/Windows Server.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Able to establish strong working relationship at appropriate levels of seniority.

* Ability to learn and deploy new technology and development skills.

* Well organised.

* Strong problem solving skills that provide flexible and well considered solutions.

* Hungry for development and knowledge
