A market leading organisation providing services to the media sector is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to manage their lead generation program and sell their media based solution to senior marketeers within large corporate organisations.

Our client is a household name that offers a variety of services within the UK

Description

Manage the lead generation program supporting the team's objective of targeting senior stakeholders within brands, agencies and other influencers in order to drive new or incremental revenue. This role will work independently to identify and manage the contact strategy for tactical opportunities, and build content to execute communications using email, telephone and written based techniques such as powerpoint, email, and Direct Mail. This is a new business role that requires the most recent advertising agency experience plus a deep knowledge of media strategy and client decision making that relates to this.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the lead generation program which is designed to target senior stakeholders in key brands, and agencies building the case in order to drive new commercial opportunities.

  • Manage and coordinate resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time, budget and quality.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement on these projects and senior levels of partner organisations as appropriate

  • Meet individual and collective KPI's and revenue targets.

  • Orchestrate and co-ordinate internal processes to achieve the commercial objectives.

  • Production of business cases and strategic documents for various stakeholder groups.

  • Motivate project teams focussing on integration and alignment to maximise impact

Profile

The successful Senior Business Development Manager should have the following skillset:

  • Credibility to deal with senior stakeholders and partners, particularly with experienced direct marketers.
  • Proven ability to be credible with media agencies and therefore deliver work that is respected by them.
  • Experience of managing new business programs in a similar field.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with large complex organisations and third parties.
  • An understanding of direct marketing and direct mail gained through experience in a client or agency role.
  • Understanding of Marketing Client, Agency and Trade body landscape, market drivers and money flows surrounding media and wider marketing spend

  • Understanding of segmentation, data, insight, and research
