Our client is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass sectors.
With around 28,000 permanent employees, the Group has principal manufacturing operations in 30 countries and sales in over 130. Just over a third of their sales are in Europe, around a third in Japan and the rest primarily in North and South America, South East Asia and China.
Within the UK Architectural business, their world class float manufacturing operation is complemented by a network of downstream merchanting and processing sites in which raw glass is transformed into materials ready for supply into customers’ finished product or for direct installation onto buildings.
Joining our client as a Sales Representative for the West Midlands, Northampton and M5 Corridor area, you will be responsible for maximising profitable sales of all UK products through the Architectural Glass branch network, increasing Value Added Products to help meet the Medium-Term Plan.
Achieving volume, sales revenue and profit related targets, you will look to build effective relationships with all accounts managed with support from the Area Manager; proactively managing, customer by customer, the volumes and mix of business required to profitably meet or exceed the sales targets.
Implementing sales plans and specific targeting of products, you will identify new business opportunities, both in existing and newly prospected accounts and take an active role in the setting of your personal budgets; maximising cash collection performance from all accounts managed.
Candidates for this role should possess effective communication skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external customers to maintain and build vital relationships. Individuals should have excellent time management skills, influencing skills and be target driven.
Due to the nature of the role you must have a full and clean driving licence.
