Sales Manager – Offsite Modular Buildings   

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Offsite Modular Building          

Industry Sector: Offsite Modular Buildings, Modular Construction, Building Contractors, Consultants, Architects, End Users, Main Contractors

Area to be covered: London, South Coast and South West (Below M4)

Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 (Neg. Depending on Experience) + 25% of basic salary    

Benefits: Company Car / Car Allowance and exceptional benefits package

The role of the Business Development Manager – Offsite Modular Building will involve:

  • Securing high value project sales of offsite modular building construction and main contracting packages including integrated building services and bespoke building features such as facades and specialist glazing
  • 100% concentration in generating business via local authorities for Education projects utilising the company’s existing place on the local authority framework for modular buildings
  • Negotiating a with wide ranging high order values projects ranging from around £500k - £50million plus for very large projects with average orders of around £2m  
  • Once embedded into the business you will be expected to generate around £10 million turnover per annum
  • Predominantly concentrating on generating new business relationships
  • Liaising internally with support teams including, tenders, marketing, estimating, quotations, manufacturing and construction teams
  • Covering a territory to be confirmed dependant on your geographical location or expertise within specific target sectors. UK based within good commuting distance of motorway networks

 

The ideal applicant will be Business Development Manager – Offsite Modular Building with:

  • Demonstrable track record in sales of modular buildings, modular construction with specific focus on the education market sector  
  • Must have a demonstrable track record and ideally relationships within local authorities
  • Strong understanding the sales process when selling to local authorities
  • Experienced in negotiating major multi million project sales dealing with the bid process through to contract award alongside the internal backup and support
  • Strong understanding of the construction process and ideally building regulations
  • Must be comfortable with generating new business relationships / business
  • Strong relationship builder and demonstrable track record of sales success
