Elevation Sales are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Retail Channel Sales Manager for our client based in Nottinghamshire. This business manufacture building products that are sold into trade, DIY retail and via Buying Groups. Due to recent growth they are now looking to strengthen the current sales team with a Retail Channel specialist and therefore require someone with experience in this specific area.
The role will be responsible for building new relationships with DIY retail and larger retail chains such as Wilko's, B&M Bargains, The Range, Costco etc. Experience with these specific chains would be highly beneficial to this role.
You would be joining an existing sales team, of which the Sales Director has current responsibility for the Retail Channel. As a result, you will take on some existing accounts and moving forward will concentrate on new business development in DIY retail.
The business do not require someone with specific product knowledge, however experience with the correct route to market is essential.
This is a home based role, with National travel responsibility and you will be expected to manage your own diary, however you will attend meetings with the Sales Director for the first few months, therefore must be flexible.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
*Demonstrable success of new business development into the DIY retail market
*Experience of selling building products would be beneficial but not essential
*Strong communication and presentation skills
*Able to travel throughout the UK with some occasional European travel
