The role of the Commercial Area Sales Manager – Steel Chimney Flues will involve:
- Selling a full portfolio of prefabricated stainless steel chimney systems used on commercial projects
- Large proportion of clients are within the public sector including schools, universities, hospitals, dental colleges, factories and government buildings
- Approximately 75% time will be spent selling to M&E contractors
- Remaining 25% specification sales with M&E consultants and consulting engineers
- Small amount of time maybe spent within growing biomass market dealing with manufactures and installers
- Approximately 50:50 of time spent managing and expanding existing relationships vs. generating new business relationships
- Taking on a newly created territory as a result of reducing existing patches
- Fantastic on-site technical support and full CAD design service
- Order values up to £500,000+, but typically £10,000
- Taking over a territory which will incorporate the North West, Yorkshire and some North Midlands postcodes
The ideal applicant will be a Commercial Area Sales Manager – Steel Chimney Flues with:
- Must have a demonstrable track record of securing business via M&E route to market via consultants and contractors
- Ideally come from a steel chimney product sales background or alternatively experience of selling technical heating / ventilation systems such as commercial boilers, biomass boilers or commercial heating systems
- Ideally experience of commercial based project sales
- Existing contact base within the M&E sector advantageous
- Capable of both managing existing relationships and generating new business
- Ability to read technical drawings, highly motivates, organised and strategic
