Trainee Sales Executive needed for our client, a "top 40" UK Technology company headquartered in Segensworth, Fareham (near Southampton), with 125 employees and annual turnover approaching £70m. They provide IT solutions to both private and public sector clients, working in partnership with leading global manufacturers such as HP, Cisco and Dell, as well as cloud providers such as Microsoft, Google, Vodafone and Amazon.

They are completing their annual intake for Fast Track 20 - an industry leading training initiative, developed to identify the future sales stars of the IT industry. The 20 month accelerated programme equips successful candidates with the knowledge and skills required to deliver outstanding sales success. Whilst their sales floor can be very intense and demanding, they feel that it is within their hungry, ambitious and hard working environment that their people thrive, delivering the success that has led them to be the youngest reseller in the UK Top 40 Value Added Resellers.

Their experienced sales people earn £70k+ OTE per annum, and so could you, but please only apply if you are prepared to work hard in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

The Role:

  • Do you have a healthy interest in technology and want an opportunity to break into the IT industry?
  • Are you ambitious and willing to work hard enough to earn £70k+ OTE per annum?
  • Are you comfortable using the telephone, and prepared to make "cold calls" as part of your role to build up your client base?
  • Are you capable of providing excellent customer service?

If you have the right qualities, you can be developed into one of their future Major Account Managers. Their 20-month programme will begin with one month of intensive training, providing you with the tools required to begin building your own customer base from leads which they will provide you with.

After your first month of training you'll start your journey within the heart of the sales team. You'll be mentored by a dedicated Sales Manager, who will regularly review your progress to ensure you successfully grow into a Major Account Manager role within 20 months, possibly sooner if you are a real high flyer!

Skills / Requirements:

  • Hard-working, hungry and ambitious mind-set
  • Competitive desire to win
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills - Both over the phone and face to face
  • Ability to learn fast, and to work productively and competently unsupervised, as well as working effectively in a team
  • Qualifications at A-level (or equivalent) upwards
  • Sales experience will be helpful but is not required

Salary: £20,000, OTE £70,000

Rewards: Candidates will start on a £20k basic salary, alongside an uncapped commission plan. On completing the Fast Track 20 programme, successful individuals will be promoted to a higher basic salary, up to a maximum of £35k, and an uncapped commission plan. OTE circa £70k per annum.

Locations: They have opportunities for candidates to join us at their HQ in Southampton from early September and further opportunities in their prestigious London City office and North London (Heathrow) offices in October.
