In addition, you will contribute across other areas of the business as required.

How you can expect to spend your day:

Since the company doesn't have a central office you will be working from home or another location near where you live with internet access. However, you will be engaging and collaborating with other people in the team via skype, the internal workflow management system (Trello) and email. You will also be contacting potential and existing clients throughout the day.

On a typical day you would begin by checking in with the Business Development Manager via skype. They may provide you with some tasks that they need help with – for example preparing coverage reports or campaign summaries. You would create these by extracting data from sources such as Google Analytics or our ad server and entering them in a spreadsheet.

You would then review any emails that have come in from potential sponsors overnight and start responding to them – providing information and marketing materials or setting up Skype or phone calls to discuss their requirements in more detail. You would take part in previously scheduled calls with potential clients to understand more about their needs and how we can help them. After a call like this you would put together a package or proposal for them.

You would then spend time chasing clients who have been sent proposals to see if they are ready to start the promotion in which case you will send them an invoice.

You might then have a call with one of the content marketing team to review progress on live campaigns with existing clients. You would review the recent activities for each client and potentially suggest potential additional promotions we could undertake (e.g. new blog posts, email ads etc).

You might then spend some time updating their CRM system with recent activities or maintaining our spreadsheets that capture client data, inventory and activities.

Your day might end in the evening with a call to someone in San Francisco in order to catch them on their time zone.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

1. Able to work in a remote / from home environment with no direct supervision (although you will be supported and managed closely in terms of your work activities)
