Our client is a very established, successful and specialist managed services provider of IT infrastructures operating within a wide range of industry sectors. The company provides services to manage their customers’ entire IT infrastructures from servers and desktops to applications, data and networks. The company also supports customers throughout the IT investment lifecycle from initial strategy development and technology assessment, through to design, procurement and implementation. 

Our client has strong roots in the market place and has grown both organically and through acquisition over the last 30 years.  It has a clear vision for its future and much of that is dependent on bringing in and developing new talent into the business. As a result, our client has made the decision to re instate its internal telemarketing function, creating a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in a similar role or for someone with a genuine aptitude for opening doors through intelligent conversation.  Plus, based on your success, this may open doors into other roles within the organisation!

 

The Opportunity

Now, in what our client refers to as the company’s ‘next phase of development and growth’, we have been tasked with helping the business to find someone who will support the Marketing and Sales team in building market intelligence for their products and services, as well as generating qualified leads and arranging appointments for the Field Sales Team. The successful candidate will be based in their Wetherby office and will be trained to understand what end to end tailored IT infrastructure solutions (products and services) are, enabling them to approach a broad range of organisations of all sizes and sectors.

 

Your duties will include the following:

  • To provide an ‘Always available’ office based personal contact for prospects and customers
  • To increase the coverage and customer facing time of the field sales team
  • Articulate the services and solutions to customers to increase sales within new and existing portfolios
  • Keep up-to-date with current market technologies
  • Build productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish prospects and existing client’s requirements and offer appropriate solutions
  • Work to agreed SLA’s ensuring that KPIs are hit
  • Providing assistance to field sales staff in the preparation of proposals and tenders
  • Keep accurate up-to-date records and quotes for customers ensuring that their specification and remit is met throughout the entire process
  • To initiate regular follow up calls with prospects and existing customers

 

The Candidate Brief

Our ideal candidate will have gained some work experience in a telemarketing/telesales environment with a focus on identifying and or promoting needs for products & services, and will have achieved success because of their natural enthusiasm and drive to exceed expectations.  It will be someone who can think intelligently by learning about and knowing the product and services and how they might apply to the businesses approached, and very importantly can build rapport and relationships with others easily.  However, if you are new to the sector all you need to do is to prove to us that you have the potential and can respond well to training.

 

Essential skills, experience and personal requirements

You will be someone who:

  • Is target orientated, results driven, highly motivated and dedicated to achieving high standards
  • Ideally is well versed in the sales process and has a good understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction through excellent service.  If no sales experience is someone who can promote products/services/ideas effectively
  • Can build rapport at all levels benefiting communication, negotiation, process and co-ordination skills
  • Has had previous experience with CRM systems
  • Has a proven track record in outstanding customer service
  • Has the ability to analyse data, resolve problems and produce recommendations for improvement
  • Is dependable and able to meet set deadlines
  • Confident personality, intelligent and keen to learn new skills
