Sales Engineer, Electronics and Semiconductors, South East of England and South. Up to £45,000 Basic, £55,000 OTE plus package including car, pension and generous holidays. This is a technical yet commercial role within one of the UK's most respected and specialist suppliers of electronic power components and semiconductors. Managing a multimillion pound portfolio of accounts your clients include major manufacturers in defence, avionics, automotive, high performance automotive, industrial and aerospace. This can be a technically complex, project driven role where you will be tasked with winning new projects from the existing accounts together with developing new business.

Whilst the role has a heavy emphasis on selling into design engineers the ideal candidate will be new business oriented and a 'hunter' by nature as well as having a strong technical 'backbone'. The absolute ideal candidate will be commercially strong, tenacious, willing to open new doors and have a strong technical academic background, either HND or degree level in electrical or electronics engineering, or similar.

To apply you will be a hardworking, tenacious and reliable sales professional with a strong commercial streak and the ability to sell to both senior buyers and electronic design engineers.

The products offered are 'high end' and the components are sold on their ability to deliver rather than cost. Whilst the range of products is reasonably simple to understand the applications can be extremely complex and are normally bespoke to a customer's needs.

To succeed in this role, you will be a goal focused and targeted individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be pragmatic and organised in your sales approach and enjoy working in an autonomous, self-managing role. You will possess an honest demeanour and be flexible, hardworking and able to forge strong trusting business partnerships with your client base.
