Despite industry challenges, my client are investing in a new Sales Director. The Sales Director will be an integral part of the Senior Management and Leadership team, making a significant contribution to realistic and sustainable YoY growth.

Description

The Sales Director will:

  • Be part of the Senior Management and Leadership team;
  • Manage a small UK sales team;
  • Manage an international network of Agents;
  • Deliver personal project revenue;
  • Liaise with and develop a global supply chain;
  • Proactively seek means to diversify and develop opportunities within the oil, gas, petrochemical and power industries.

The Sales Director will lead from the front, inspiring their team to be the best they can be: Supporting, Encouraging, Challenging and Facilitating.

It will be the responsibility of the Sales Director to gather market intelligence and build trusting relationships.

The role will work closely with the Process Engineering Team on business-critical project administration to include (but not limited to):

  • Bid preparation and conditioning;
  • Assistance with technical proposals;
  • Project tracking

This is an incredibly diverse role where prioritisation will be pivotal to success.

The Sales Director will be Office-Based in the South East, travelling nationally and internationally when required.

Profile

  • Degree education or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable sales track record and experience in consultative selling within related industry; having the ability to adapt to their audience - Technically conversant.
  • Strong negotiation skills; exposure to bank guarantees, liquidated damage clauses etc. and experience with high-value orders (£multi-million): Comfortable with the "cut and thrust" of negotiation.
  • Forward thinking, embraces technology and wants to talk about the future.
  • Comfortable with national and international travel.
  • Must be a team player and looking for the stability of a long-term career.
  • Able to prioritise effectively and deliver within pre-agreed deadlines.
