Intelligent Transport Systems - Sales Director
The Company is a leading specialist provider of tailored solutions to the transport community, solving complex operational requirements both on and off vehicle. They are recruiting an experienced ITS professional to lead their Passenger Systems integration business as Sales Director. The business currently designs and manufactures passenger information, public media and smart ticketing systems for the travel networks of local authorities and passenger transport executives. Solutions comprise street-furniture; such as digital signs, kiosks and ticket machines through to sophisticated content management software running locally or virtually on cloud based servers, processing several data sources to deliver accurate information to a variety of media and smart phone displays.
This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic and experienced, sales oriented leader who is genuinely interested in new technologies with a deep understanding of ITS, real time passenger information systems and public media systems. Key requirements of the role are:
o Domain Expertise - deep knowledge with existing connections to lead our sales & marketing efforts and define go to market strategies
o Leadership - a winner; building, guiding, leading and inspiring people to innovate and grow the business
o Team worker - working with R&D, engineering, project managers and customer service teams to delight customers - on time, on budget and on quality - every time.
O Customer focussed and persuasive - cheerful, positive attitude with steely determination to succeed.
The role is a key part of the Group's business development plans and you will be part of the senior management team who are targeting aggressive growth and market leadership in target markets.
It may suit an experienced ITS professional, or business developer from the passenger transport sector or outdoor media with a genuine passion for integrated transport solutions; including freight, passenger travel, blue-lights & utility vehicles moving in and around towns and cities with the aim of making life better for their customers and members of the public.
The role is likely to favour candidates with relevant skills and experience in:
- Intelligent Transport Systems
- Passenger Transport Information Systems
- B2B sales into the PTE & public sector
An entrepreneurial approach to identifying or creating business opportunities and getting things done well is vital, as is the ability to shape, inspire and lead sales teams with an inclusive, hands-on style. Good interpersonal and presentational skills with the gravitas and ability to engage with others at all levels inside and outside the organisation.
Package: Base Salary of £60k-£70k based on experience - (not limited for exceptional candidates) + bonus scheme + company car
