Job Title: Sales Co-ordinator / Estimator

Location: Willenhall, West Midlands

Salary: £15,000 - £25,000 per annum

The company is an independent business specialising in architectural ironmongery, balustrades and security systems. For over 100 years the company has earned its reputation for providing technical solutions across a wide variety of market sectors including residential, health, education, leisure and commercial and have the ability to supply highly complex and technical solutions to suit your design requirements, ensuring the right product for the right application. The company operates out of 8 regional sales centers with over 130 highly skilled staff providing a key focus on quality and service.

Job Role:

Working for the Balustrades division producing accurate estimates from architect's drawings, BOQ's and site surveys. To constantly provide a high standard of support to the external sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate estimates
  • Enter new enquiries onto quote system
  • Produce chase reports for external sales team
  • Update quote system with chase notes
  • Arranging and contributing to sales meetings.
  • Quotes Awaiting Completion Report
  • Margin Report
  • Sales Spreadsheet
  • Stationary Orders/Maintenance
  • Holiday/Sickness Forms
  • Checking supplier invoices and working with the finance team to ensure prompt payment
  • Some general administrative duties


  • Quotes raised
  • Turnaround of quotes
  • Accuracy of quotes
  • Accuracy of reports

Technical Competencies:

  • Full product training will be required however experience of handrails and balustrades would be preferable
  • Good understanding of business processes
  • Knowledge of building regulations K and M would be advantageous
  • To be able to interpret architectural drawings
  • Understanding of bill pages and NBS specifications
  • Persuasive sales technique
  • Reasonable financial awareness
  • Good negotiating skills
