Sales and Events Manager

London SE1

Salary £30K - £35K depending on experience.

My client in London SE1 is looking for an experienced Sales and Events Manager with proven experience of managing and motivating a small team of four.

As a member of the team, you will win, organize and execute key company events to the highest standards. You will creatively exceed client expectations to drive business and venue relationships within our client portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Company Secretary, you will be part of the senior management team and have input into the annual business planning, including marketing strategy and budgets.You will be responsible for maximising the sales and profitability of events, private dining, weddings and corporate events through effective yield and diary management.

You will be leading the team to ensure the event co-ordinators and administrator are highly motivated, with a clear sense of purpose and direction. As well supervise training & development of the Sales team.
You will be working efficiently with our in-house catering company to identify key growth areas of development for our core business.
You will be sales focused but with an ability to build a natural rapport with clients to create future opportunities for TLC and meet all sales KPI’s.
You will be proactive in your approach to following up inquiries and opportunities and communicate transparently and efficiently the requirements of business to the operational teams.
You will be industry savvy and be aware of our competitors’ facilities, prices, and special promotions and put forward ideas to be industry leaders rather than followers.

Additional duties to include but not limited to:
To assist with credit control /debtor, raise client sales invoices and credit notes.
To chair weekly operations meetings & produce minutes in a timely fashion
To work towards team targets as agreed
To attend client viewings/tastings/ promotional events
To book services regarding events/functions
Maintain the event diary
To raise function sheets

Person Specification
Degree in Event/Sales Marketing or equivalent
Proven track record in sales and events
Able to deliver excellent customer service

Organised
Positive role model with a “can do attitude”
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent understanding of catering or hospitality
