THE ROLE: As a Retail Sales Manager, your time will be split between winning new business and managing existing accounts. Your target customers will be; independent retailers, convenience stores and petrol forecourts. Day to day, you will be selling to owners, store managers and area managers.
THE PERSON: To succeed in this role, you will be an excellent networker, with a consultative style and approachable demeanour. It doesn't matter what products or services you have sold previously, but it is vital that you can demonstrate a structured approach to sales and excellent negotiating technique. Experience of FMCG route to market would also be advantageous.
