The Job:

Recruitment consultants are responsible for attracting candidates and matching them to temporary or permanent positions with client companies. They work with client companies, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements.

Recruitment consultants attract candidates by drafting advertising copy for use in a range of media, as well as by networking, headhunting and through referrals. They screen candidates, interview them, do background checks and finally match them to their clients.

The Client:

The business has been established for 6 years, and has been profitable every year since inception, financially stable, great offices based in West London. The sectors they recruit into are within Power, Renewables and Engineering worldwide. They recruit into International markets; the role will involve International business trips within time.

What is the culture like?

Driven! These guys do Recruitment in the right way, they treat their candidates and clients with integrity and respect and offer a premium service. The team is a close knit and often seen socialising together in local bars and pubs, the business also runs monthly clubs for top performers and annual holiday incentives to places such as Ibiza, New York, Vegas. 

What is the training like?

The Training & Development program is the key to their success, with an internal trainer on site to work alongside candidates, the development never stops. As a Graduate Consultant you will be put through an initial 12-week training program for you to fully understand the Recruitment life cycle. Does the training stop there? No. You will continue to develop throughout your career, added mentorship on the desk in the early stages and Director led catch ups monthly to review your progress.

Commission structure?

Very competitive, you will start earning as soon you bill! There is no threshold and it tops out at 30%. Consultants in this business are on average earning £60k/£70k, with some comfortably earning well over £150k

What profile do they look for?

Simple, Graduate or someone who has previous sales experience who is money motivated and driven enough to start their career as a recruitment consultant! A previous experience in excelling, whether it be in educational or sporting achievements.
