Online Advertising Sales - Business Development Manager

£30k-£40k base, £45k-£60K OTE

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading online retailers and a household name. They have arguably the most valuable and influential customer database in their space. As such, they are looking for someone one who can translate this powerful message into a strong advertising sales pipeline.

You will be looking to join a young vibrant company that has big ambitions. The ideal candidate is looking at a role split 80/20 hunter/farmer and will ideally have at least 2 years sales experience selling into the business to business market. You must be comfortable speaking with senior individuals in a wide variety of verticals. This is a new role that demands someone with a strong contacts book, drive and ambition.

Their advertising sales cost ranges from £3k upwards and you will be expected to develop contacts across advertising agencies, direct and any other relevant service companies.The ideal candidates will have a terrific reputation for over achieving targets while always focusing on the customer. We are looking for sales & marketing professionals with a track record of success at driving top results, partnering cross functionally, and professionally representing client needs to the organisation. You will be confident at accurately forecasting, along with strong relationship building at executive levels of SMB organizations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced dynamic environment and who has excellent communication and presentation skills.

You will be energized by the thrill of calling, meeting and contacting your new and existing customers all day, you will understand the importance of being close to your clients and understanding their needs, you will be impatient to move prospects into customers, and passionate about keeping those customers and growing them. You don't get put off by a 'no' and have the resilience and creativity to turn objections into sales. You must also enjoy selling, creating your own territory from scratch, and be comfortable competing with your colleagues and staying ahead of the competition. You must be self motivated and love targets and goals.
