The company

Our client is a UK leading independent electrical engineering group delivering service solutions to customers across a broad range of industry.

The Role

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager who can lead the sales team. This role will report to two regional Director’s and will be responsible for developing, driving and delivering the sales strategy across all business units.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Achieve growth and realise sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Design, implement and achieve the strategic sales plan and KPI’s
Coach, develop, set objectives and monitor the performance of the sales team
Manage allocated Key Accounts by acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and proposing solutions to meet key customers objectives
Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
Efficient coordination and management of strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximising all opportunities for sales at this level
Identify emerging markets and new sectors while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by adopting a partnering approach, demonstrating an understanding of customer needs
Lead / assist with large or complex negotiations
Compile and present sales reports to Regional Directors

Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will possess:-
Experience of critically assessing a sales process and structures to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose
A background in electrical engineering services ideally rotating machines
A successful background in sales team management
Excellent interpersonal skills
Logical, analytical and strategic approach to sales
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Be target orientated
Experience of large or complex negotiations
Demonstrable record of achieving personal and team targets
