SALARY: £40,000- £50,000 basic + Potential Bonus

As a result of the company’s continuing expansion, this is a classic National Sales Manager- South or Regional Sales Manager role. Some of which will involve managing, developing and opening national distributor or buying groups’ accounts in the automotive aftermarket and industrial distributor markets at head office level, these are also visited, covered and serviced by the Area Sales Managers at outlet level.
Most of the role will involve managing, motivating and developing a team of three Area Sales Managers in the south of England including Wales- total annual sales of circa £1m+. The aim is to increase the new business / prospecting activity, also using KPIs, sales processes, planning, keeping close to the business and pipeline, influencing ASMs behaviour, dual visits and support, shaking things up where appropriate and recruit new ASMs and grow the team. All the things you would expect of an effective, influential, dynamic and successful Sales Manager.

To be considered for this National Sales Manager- South role you will need a proven track of success selling and managing in this or related automotive or industrial markets, ideally for a manufacturer but you could come from a distributor. You will be structured in your approach, but a good motivator feeling equally comfortable on a dual visit at smaller customers as presenting to national accounts at head office level.

They were bought out 20 years ago, and under their new ownership have been the most innovative, fast growing welding machinery manufacturer in Europe. Growth has come from superb new product development and manufacturing efficiency. They already supplied the UK market but this full UK subsidiary has consistently achieved 25%- 30% growth year after year and is on target to do this again in 2017. They have a good sized field sales team across 3 divisions which is growing.
