Our client islooking to recruittwo National Account Managers with a strong New Business focus to maintain and develop accounts within the Grocery & Discounter space.The account Portfolio will include the likes of Morrisons, Asda, Wilkinson's, John Lewis,Poundland, Poundstretcher, 99p stores, Tommy Morris, B & M Bargains, CDS ( T/A The Range ), the Factory Shop, Decco, Stax, Boyes of Scarborough, Boundary Mill, Fenwick's.
Candidates can come from any food, drink or non food category. They should have had experience of selling to professional retail buyers, who buy on logic and category insights rather than relationships.
Candidates can come from either a branded or an own label sector.
Candidates must have had exposure to selling to some kind of multiple retailers - it would be an obvious advantage if they had exposure to one of more of the accounts in question but this isn't mandatory.
Candidates must either have had P & L responsibility for their accounts or at the very least to understand the mechanics of P & L and how their decisions affect both their own business and also the retailers businesses.
Also important is that the job holder should be in a position to be promoted to a more senior commercial position ( SNAM ) managing bigger accounts within 18 months to 2 years - prospects within the Company are therefore superb.
