We are on the lookout for a talented and dynamic direct marketer / fundraiser to join an international charity performing life-saving work across the world on a maternity cover contract. This is a chance for someone from a direct marketing background with a real interest in the third sector to help with marketing and supporter retention campaigns for a fantastic not-for-profit organisation. The charity, which started in the mid 1980’s has been helping save people’s lives across Africa with the creation and management of sustainable communities throughout some of the continents most isolated areas. The not for profit organisation achieves this through four key objectives: provide vital food all year round; help people earn an income for basic needs; protect the environment and defend the people’s rights. The successful supporter marketing executive will be involved in the project management of direct marketing fundraising activities and campaigns from inception to completion, primarily based around the supporter retention. Some of these marketing campaigns will also target new supporters, trying to raise the income from individuals. You will also be involved in the data analysis and reporting on campaigns and provide regular and ad hoc data selections and reports from the database to support and inform fundraising activities. The supporter marketing executive will have budget management responsibility on a campaign level and will act as the liaison for external agencies etc. This role is a maternity cover contract and will be initially 9 months with the potential to extend to 12 months.
