Position: Internal Sales Executive
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £20k-£25k per annum, plus uncapped commission
About the role:
In this role, you will be an expert at outbound business-to-business telesales, and be looking to progress into field sales. You’ll also leverage your strong commercial acumen to deliver sale opportunities through data mining and networking. You’ll close deals over the telephone, using an in-depth understanding of good customer service.
Other key tasks include client prospecting through social media, events and telephone calls; booking meetings and demonstrations for Sales Managers; explaining and promoting their products to prospective clients; assisting with marketing activities and campaigns; and maintaining and updating customer databases.
You’ll need a confident and personable demeanour, strong networking and negotiating skills as well as the ability to organise, prioritise, adapt and work within internal processes. You’ll have a real customer focus, allied with a keen instinct for the customer’s potential requirements and constraints and the adaptability to deliver consistent excellence in a fast-changing environment.
Experience in a sales or telesales role, proven results in obtaining ‘warm’ leads and a high degree of proficiency with MS office products are also key to success in this role. You’ll also need to display the business acumen and desire to progress within a sales environment, potentially leading to a field sales position. A full UK driving licence is also essential.
