Automotive Role: LCV Technician - Light Commercial Vehicle Technician

Level 3 LCV Technician - Automotive Technician - Van Technician - Commercial Technician - Light Commercial Vehicle Technician - Light Goods Technician - LGV Technician


Our client requires an experienced LCV - LGV Vehicle Technician to work to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dealership as a level 3 vehicle technician with experience.

Our client, a main dealership, is currently looking to recruit a an experienced Vehicle Technician for their busy Service Department. Own tool kit is essential, Dealership experience is not essential, but is preferable.

Main purpose:

To undertake all vehicle servicing and repair and must be competent in replacing gearboxes, clutches and timing belts. Fault diagnosis and defect rectification in line with manufacturers recommendations.

Main Activities:

-Service vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and times.
-Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles in line with manufacturers recommendations
-Identify potential defects and worn components and report responsibly for customer authorisation.
-Complete all associated paperwork accurately.
-Work responsibly with Health and Safety in mind
-Adhere to all codes of practise, systems of work, and processes.

Qualifications:

-City and Guilds or NVQ Automotive Servicing and Repair Level 3
-Full UK driving licence.

Practical Skills:

-Ability to work within strict time frames.
-The ability to work with minimal supervision
-Computer literate

Personal Qualities:

-Self-motivated individual
-Good communication skills
-Willing to undertake further training
-Willing to work as a team player
-Commit to Health and Safety guidelines
