International Business Development Manager - Healthcare

Based in Leeds, west Yorkshire - with regular international travel.

Excellent Basic Salary, £4,000 car allowance, 10% Bonus, 12% Pension, 30 days Holiday

My client has circa 90,000 members in 20 + countries, ranging from the Caribbean to New Zealand, they recognise that there is a need to provide dedicated and specialised commercial resource to respond to the exciting and rapidly changing environments and emerging opportunities.
This international team currently consists of 4 key Regions focused on Members (Individual, Group and Government)
1. Caribbean, Bermuda and Ireland
2. South Africa,
3. Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia
4. Australia and New Zealand members

As a partner, their focus is to:-

*Ensure that the organisation understands the dynamics of the international
markets in which they operate and that you can provide the appropriate
services and products to achieve its strategic objectives (acquisition,
customer satisfaction, retention, income).
*To optimise member satisfaction and build robust relationships in
international markets to achieve growth in line with the Corporate plan and
International Strategy.
*To help create and deliver differentiation that supports the delivery of
strategy.
*To provide, as appropriate expertise to MPS international markets and group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

International Markets
*Working closely with the Director of Member Experience, RGMs and BDEs
ensuring the client understands the markets fully in which it operates,
making clear choices around what constitutes attractive opportunities (based
on size, risk appetite, strategic and commercial priority)
*Working closely with the Director of Member Experience, International, RGMs
and country BDE ensure you develop and addresses a pipeline of potential BD
opportunities
*Account managing existing clients ensuring effective communication and that
the renewal processes is managed effectively and to agreed standards
*Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the client and competitive
environment is maintained and that effective strategic and tactical
responses are developed in response to that information.
*Support the development of an integrated international sales and marketing
strategy, refining and refreshing this in response to develop individual
country sales and commercial strategies, being alert to competitor activity
and company priorities
*Support the execution of the sales strategies, working with marketing,
education and events, making recommendations for on-going improvement.
*Be a key contributor to developing and optimising our internal end to end BD
processes identifying issues or areas of improvement to ensure deadlines and
targets are achieved and t .Including sales, underwriting, retail and
technical pricing and marketing Working with the Director of Member
Experience, International and RGM's support the development and execution of
the international Sales/Go-to-Market strategy
*Lead the completion of international tenders, bids and business proposals

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education/Qualifications/Training:

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent
*Sales and/or Marketing management qualification such as CIM, ISM

Specific Experience:

Essential:
*Significant experience of working internationally in commercial and sales
environments
*Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness with the ability to
communicate and manage relationships effectively at all levels, including
senior management.
*Good at troubleshooting / addressing conflict.
*Strong numerical, IT/MS and analytical skills
*Flexible to travel when required for the relevant market
*Professional, Healthcare, Medical or FS Senior Sales leadership
*Experience of the key target market - individual members, GPs, Consultants,
Specialists
*International/global, B2B and B2G markets
*Medium size business (£100m+ revenue)
*Strategy development
*Experience of working virtually with internationally based business
development teams
*Can demonstrate experience of go to market commercial and sales development
and execution plans
*Has experience of working with prioritisation models to identify key targets

*Membership organisation
*General Management

*International business management with field sales teams
*Strong relationship building and communication skills
*Change management experience

*Ability to undertake financial and market analysis across different
international markets
*Sector knowledge (Financial Services, Insurance, Medical / Health
indemnity/professional support)
