Position: Insurance Sales Advisor

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days, including alternate Saturdays and mixture of 9.00am - 5.30pm and 11.30am - 8.00pm weekday shifts.

Salary: up to £16,350 per annum plus bonus, potential OTE of circa £22,000 per annum

About the role:

They have a fantastic opportunity for an Insurance Sales Advisor to join them at their stylish Head Office in Harrogate town centre. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to begin their career within a sales environment.

Working as part of a vibrant and friendly team, the Insurance Sales Advisor role has responsibility for maximising profit per insurance case, and delivering a great standard of service to both new and existing customers.


You will answer inbound calls from new and existing customers wishing to ask questions or purchase / renew their Personal Lines insurance or breakdown policies. You will also be making outbound calls to follow up on warm leads generated from online aggregator sites, or from existing customers. Whilst doing this you will be offering a market leading standard of customer service, and complying with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines in line with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.

You'll be working in a target driven environment with KPI's to work towards in sales, retention, maximising profit per case, up-selling and cross selling.

About you:

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, who is able to build rapport with customers and provide a superior customer service experience. You should be enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated to promote NCI's brand and products in order to identify and convert sales opportunities.

You should be an organised individual, who is able to multi task and work efficiently with complex product information whilst maintaining attention to detail. You'll need to have a good level of computer literacy, and mathematical skills too.

You may have experience of the following: Insurance Sales Advisor, Inbound Sales, Underwriter, Telesales Executive, Insurance Renewals Advisor, Insurance Sales Executive, Mortgage Advisor, Customer Service Advisor etc.
